Meet the Director

Director Gretchen Stanton began her teaching career by offering private violin lessons while still in college. After graduating from CMU with a bachelor’s in Music Education. Gretchen taught orchestra at East Middle School for seven years. She changed career focus in 2011, expanding her private studio in order to devote more time to her family. Gretchen founded the Grand Junction Youth Orchestra five years ago and continues to direct it today. Additionally, Gretchen plays violin in the Grand Junction Symphony Orchestra.
